Hi, I’m Maja.

Computer Science student, Machine Learning enthusiast, beginner blogger and AIESEC alumni. I love delivering memorable presentations and following podcasts, blogs and books about personal growth.

l have always admired people that spent some part of their life living abroad. Whether it was an internship, exchange or studies abroad, I loved hearing about their personal success stories.

Those stories were about making friends from all around the world.

Becoming world citizens.

Being inspired from experiencing other cultures.

Broadening your horizons.

And most importantly, those stories were about getting to know yourself, challenging yourself and letting the experience change you in ways you couldn’t even imagine.

For me, studying abroad was always a synonym for an enriching and valuable opportunity that boosts your self-confidence and shows you that sometimes, stepping into the unknown is the best thing you can do in life.

And then, in 2019, I decided that it was enough of admiring this experience from a distance, and I started my own studying abroad journey. 🙂

Now I’m doing my master studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland.

I started this blog with the desire to inspire you to pursue the things that make you grow

Maybe that is studying abroad.

Maybe it is something else.

If you are an ex, current, future or wannabe student abroad, here you will read about the challenges I faced, the choices I’ve made and the lessons I learned before and during my studies. I will share my discoveries, thoughts and conclusions that could save you some time, help you resolve your doubts, or open new perspectives.

If, on the other hand, studying abroad is not one of your ambitions, then I hope that these stories will motivate you to get out of your comfort zone and do things that you personally find challenging.

Because, in the end, we can all become the people that will look back in a couple of years and be proud of the decisions they made.  🙂
